Breakfast and After School Clubs

Breakfast Club

At Hertford Junior School we are pleased to be able to run an early morning breakfast club. This is all part of the wrap-around care that the school is able to offer to our families. 

Times: 07:45 - 08:30 

Price: £3

New from September 2020: Sessions need to be booked using ParentPay. Click here for information about the administration of Breakfast club. Complete a registration form and hand it into the office or send it to admin@hertfordjun.brighton-hove.sch.uk. We will then open up the booking system for you on ParentPay

After School Club (Hub Club)

After School Childcare is normally catered for in Hub Club based at Hertford Infant School. Visit the Infant school website for further information.

For The autumn term 2020 Hub Club for Key Stage 2 children will temporarily be hosted at the junior school.

After School Enrichment Clubs

We have a variety of After School Clubs at Hertford Juniors to enrinch the school day and to provide excellent opportunities for all children outside of school. This often leads to commitment to a specfic sport as Hertford gives children a wide variety of experiences.  These clubs provide children with a solid foundation of skills and we have seen children continue to develop these independently. 

**** Unfortunately the enrichment clubs will not be able to operate for the Autumn term 2020 due to Coronavirus restrictions. 

We have many fantastic clubs at Hertford Juniors for our children to enjoy. We are pleased to be able to offer a wide range of activities each term and a letter will be sent out at the end of each term about the clubs in the following term. Most of our clubs will run for a term, unless stated otherwise. Please note that if your child would like to attend a club, then you must complete and return a reply slip with your payment (if you are unable to pay using ParentPay) by the closing date. 

Numbers are limited so please help us by replying quickly. All slips completed and returned with payments by 9am on the closing date will be considered on an equal basis. We want to make it as fair as possible so that all children get access to clubs. Therefore, if you are applying for more than one club, please mark each reply slip in order of preference. We will do our best to allocate places fairly to everyone who applies by the deadline given.

We will send out individual confirmation letters to all who applied for places in clubs. Once you have confirmation that your child has a place at a club please make your payment using ParentPay. Please do not assume that your child has a place but wait for the confirmation letter. If a club is oversubscribed, then we will put children without a place on a waiting list. We shall, of course, let you know and will refund any money paid. Some of the clubs have their own registration form too. We will send it to you if your child gets a place. Please complete and return registration forms promptly as some of the clubs insist that they have this before your child is able to attend.

Unfortunately, we are not generally able to assist with funding for places for children or offer staggered payments. If any family finds that the cost of an activity is preventing their child(ren) from taking part or would like to pay in instalments, please speak to the school and we may be able to help or offer some advice.

Please note that it is assumed that your child will attend each session of the club. If your child is unable to attend for any reason, please make sure that we have been advised of this by a parent/carer.
