RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER

(whole school sings)

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer

Had a very shiny nose

And if you ever saw him

You would even say it glowed

All of the other reindeer

Used to laugh and call him names

They never let poor Rudolph

Join in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas eve

Santa came to say

“Rudolph, with your nose so bright,

Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then how the reindeer loved him

As they shouted out with glee

“Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer

You’ll go down in history.”

A ray of hope flickers in the sky

A silent wish sails the seven seas

The winds of change whisper in the trees

And the walls of doubt crumble tossed and torn

A rosy hue settles all around

For a spell of two, no-one is forlorn

(...and all of this happens because the world is waiting, waiting for one special child.  What do they look like? No-one knows, but a child that will grow up and turn tears to laughter, hate to love, war to peace and everyone to everyone's neighbour and misery and suffering will be words to be forgotten forever)
