Learn to identify and name the main parts of the human circulatory system, and describe the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood

Develop knowledge of circuits to investigate what makes bulbs brighter or buzzers louder.

Chronology and causation

Place build up to WW2 on a timeline.  Timeline of main events in WW2.

Assessing Evidence

Understand that sources can be biased and give reasons for this.  Understand that it is important to know that some evidence from the past (and present) is propaganda, opinion or misinformation, and that this affects interpretations of WW2.  

Using Evidence

Use books, stories, first-hand accounts (written and verbal), photographs, web-sites, pictures, objects, historical visits maps, historical writings, graphs and tables. 

Communication

Communicate different viewpoints (orally and written). 

Organise a presentation about WWII, person or source and lead a discussion/ answer questions about it (personal histories / family memorabilia).

Art

 

 

Painting- Circulatory System: ‘The Composition of Blood’ mixed media including pastels, paint, charcoal, chalk, crayons, outliner pens.

Improve their mastery of art and design techniques, including painting
